Confluent Cloud users on AWS can call Granite forecasting and anomaly detection from Flink SQL in Early Access. Confluent Platform support is planned. IBM has not given a general-availability date.

IBM and Confluent made Granite time-series models available in Early Access on Confluent Cloud. Users can call the models from Apache Flink SQL through AI_FORECAST and AI_DETECT_ANOMALIES.
Why it matters now
Forecasting and anomaly detection now run in the stream-processing layer, so users do not need a separate model-serving system for this workflow. Access is limited to Early Access on Confluent Cloud for AWS. Confluent Platform support remains planned. Neither company has given a general-availability date. The companies' speed, cost, and accuracy claims have not been independently reproduced.
