Jassy says most large AWS capacity allocations are booked through 2027.
In an interview released on October 23, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said AWS capacity for 2027 is largely committed, Reuters reported. He described substantial commitments that extend into 2028. AWS still has some capacity for on-demand customers using its server and AI-model services.

This is the chief executive's account of customer commitments. It is not an independent count of available machines or a claim that every AWS service is unavailable. Reservations do not show how much capacity AWS is running, how quickly new sites will open, or when those commitments become revenue.
Amazon is scheduled to report third-quarter results on October 29. Watch for evidence that AWS can deliver capacity, secure power, and turn the demand Jassy described into revenue.
